Hi, I’m Kendall

I used to be someone who never traveled. I was a sedentary person and enjoy binge-watching other people live their lives on screen, because that’s a normal part of our culture now, and I had no idea that I wasn’t living my life.

Then one day my life changed when I became a ballet fan. Yes, ballet — it’s a long story, one that stemmed from seeing a Cirque du Soleil show, but I started traveling to all these different cities to watch ballet and I ultimately became addicted to traveling. Once my ballet discovery season was over, I kept on traveling and I realized that adventure always happen to me no matter where I went as long as I followed these 2 rules (which took me awhile to develop):

1.) You make a connection with someone new, or build on an existing connection.

2.) You do something new and spontaneous.

And that’s how my blog and my life came to be. Often when I’m traveling and something cool or interesting happens to me, I’ll say to myself, “This should be happening to the most adventurous person in the world, not me!” But it is happening to me because I decided to show up and not stay at home. You don’t have to be the most interesting or loudest person to have these experiences — I’m not, you just have to be willing to put yourself out there and see what happens.

So stop watching other people live their lives and start living yours.
